We planted a variety of trees, mostly Italian Leccino, Frantoio, Pendolino and Maurino but also some Spanish Sevillano and Manzanilla. About 60 trees are over one hundred years old that we moved from Chico area, the rest, some 300 younger trees came mostly from McEvoy ranch and a few other sources. Our trees are 100% organic. The rich blend of varieties give our extra virgin olive oil fruity and pungent characteristics as well as a rich and robust flavor. Sergio, our ranch caretaker, has 20 years of experience maintaining olive orchards, harvesting and working at olive oil mills.
In 2017, we had a strong harvest and donated the proceeds to the Napa Fire Relief Fund. Please check back for our next pressing.
